Count me in. Using an Nvidia “Arc” supercomputer to build an Ark is sound logic.
To open Phase 1 of the Human Sailboat Charrette, here is the initial design brief framework:
- Hull Geometry & Hydrodynamics: Multi-hull vs. high-displacement monohull, wave-piercing entry, and low-wetted-surface efficiency.
- Propulsion & Wind Harvesting: Rigid wing-sail vs. adaptable soft rig, paired with human-powered pedal/crank auxiliary drives for tight maneuvers.
- Ergonomics & Human Interface: Biomechanics of long-haul helm operation, kinetic energy capture, and optimal spatial flow on deck.
- Materials & Structural Tech: High strength-to-weight ratio composites, modular framing, and durable bio-resins.
- Autonomy & Systems: Solar/wind integration, rainwater collection, and total off-grid resilience.
Where do we lay down the first trace paper: Hull Architecture or the Rig & Propulsion System?
